Frequently Asked Questions

After you have emailed me, I will reply to you within 72 hours to arrange a short, free telephone call with you to find out a little bit more information. If you decide to go ahead with therapy we will book in our first appointment during this call.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long, but I may adjust the duration based on your needs and circumstances.

Each 50 minute session costs £120. 

Payments can be made through bank transfer, bank details will be sent to you when we have booked our first session in.  

We will decide this together. We will make a plan together based on your unique difficulties and goals. I am trained in a number of therapies and will use bits from any that I think might help you (this is called working 'integratively'). 

The first session or two will be information gathering, where I will ask you questions to build an understanding of you. This will be taken at your pace, and you are able to share as much or as little as you like. There are no right or wrong answers, we will work through it together. 

Once we have a good understanding of your difficulties and we know what your goals are, we will start the therapy. Again, this will be agreed in collaboration with you and will be taken at your pace. 

This depends on your goals.  Some people benefit from a small number of focused sessions, while others may wish to engage in therapy for several months. We would discuss this together early on in our sessions and make sure that we are on the same page. I then like to 'review' this every 6-8 sessions or so to make sure we are both happy with how we are working towards your goals.

I understand that things can come up last minute so I aim to be flexible where possible.  

If you cancel at least 48 hours before the appointment you can either have the full amount refunded or use this payment for your next appointment. Appointments cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointment are liable for the full charge and will not be refunded.
