Any personal data provided by you to Dr Aleksandra Kralj through any means (verbal, written, in electronic form, or by your use of our website) will be held and processed in accordance with the data protection principles set out in the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation for the purposes for which you have given consent, to provide the services you have requested from me.
Dr Aleksandra Kralj, the ‘data controller’, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy only applies to data collected by Dr Aleksandra and via our own forms and website. When you request therapy or otherwise provide your personal details to us, you will be asked to consent to our processing of your data under the terms of this policy.
1. Therapy Requests– Registering with me to request access to our psychology service can be done online, on paper or in person. Our request process involves providing us with your name, address, telephone numbers and email address. We may also request information on your availability, therapeutic issues, and other details which we deem relevant to processing your request.
2. Website – We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous data relating to user behaviour and ‘web traffic’ statistics. The collection and use of this data by Google Inc. is subject to their own Privacy Policies.
3. Other Forms – The information you give us on our forms (including all enquiry and application forms) may include your name, postal address, email address and phone number.
We will not share any information about you with other organisations or people, except in the following situations:
a) Consent – I may share your information with other professionals whom you have requested or agreed we should contact.
b) Serious harm – Dr Aleksandra Kralj may share your information with the relevant authorities if we have reason to believe that this may prevent serious harm being caused to you or another person.
c) Compliance with law – Dr Aleksandra Kralj may share your information where we are required to by law or by the regulations and other rules to which we are subject.
Your personal information is stored securely and confidentially on a system designed to ensure that your information is safe, secure and completely confidential. It is used in a safe and ethical manner in line with EU General Data Protection Regulations May 2018. It is not shared with other people without your consent.
All electronic records are stored securely on a cloud server using the latest firewalls and data security protocols, and all access is by password-protected authentication, or by our IT service provider using secure cloud technology.
Whilst we use industry standard protocols and encryption on our website, unfortunately this can still not guarantee that the transmission of information via the internet is completely secure. This includes data submitted via email. Any transmission of information via email is at your own risk. Once your information has been received, strict procedures and security features are in place to prevent unauthorised access.
Client notes and other documentation are destroyed 7 years after the end of therapy in accordance with the British Psychological Society Guidance. All emails and text/SMS communication is deleted 1 month after finishing therapy.
You have the right to ask us to provide a copy of the information held in our records. You also have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in your information. If you would like to do this, please contact us at aleksandra@kraljpsychology.co.uk.
You have the right to ask us to erase any information that we hold about you. This includes your personal information that is no longer relevant to original purposes, or if you wish to withdraw consent. In all cases and when considering such requests, these rights are obligatory unless it’s information that we have a legal obligation to retain.
As the client, you have the right to receive your personal information which you previously provided, and also have the right to transfer that information to another party. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018, the data “controller” is Dr Sarah Healy.
Use of information we collect through automated systems when you visit our website
